With a driver

Published price, from 80 USD per day. In-house driver and fuel included. It is what most visitors choose, and anyone with a schedule across the city who would rather not drive in Luanda.

The daily rate covers mobility within Luanda. Trips to other provinces are quoted by route.

Self-drive

On request. It depends on the category, the duration and the route, and we will not publish a number we cannot honour. What is fixed and in writing: a valid driving licence, a deposit per category returned if there is no damage, a photographic inspection at handover and on return, and tank-for-tank fuel.

How it works

Rental built around your trip, not a counter

Every request is answered by a person, not a system: tell us the route, the dates and how many people are travelling, and we'll recommend the right vehicle, and whether the route calls for a 4x4.

For cross-province trips (Benguela, Lobito, Lubango, Namibe, Huambo), we put the full itinerary together: the right vehicle for the terrain, a driver who knows the road and, if needed, support with hotels and local guides.

  • Daily rental in Luanda: economy to executive, delivery and collection arranged.
  • 3, 7 and 14-day itineraries: the whole country, logistics handled.
  • Long-term and projects: special terms for contracts of weeks or months.

Before you rent

Documents, deposit and what is in writing

What documents do I need to rent?
A valid ID (identity card or passport) and a valid driving licence. Foreign drivers are advised to carry an international driving permit. Exact requirements per vehicle category are confirmed when you book.
Is there a deposit? How much?
Yes, there is a deposit per vehicle category, returned at the end of the rental if there is no damage. The exact amount is given in writing when you book, before any payment.
How does damage cover work?
Being honest: the Angolan insurance market offers limited cover and slow processes, so we will not sell you the idea that insurance solves everything. There are two options, chosen by you at booking: take Costa Phoebe damage cover, with a fixed price and a written limit, or accept liability for damage yourself. Either way there is a photographic inspection at handover and on return.
Is there a mileage limit?
It depends on the contract: urban daily hire, inter-provincial itinerary or long term. The mileage condition is defined and written into the quote, never left open.
What is the fuel policy?
On chauffeured hire, fuel is included in the price. On self-drive rental the policy is tank-for-tank: the vehicle is handed over and returned at the same level.
Do you deliver and collect the vehicle?
Yes. In Luanda we agree the handover and collection point — home, hotel, office or the airport. Tell us where you need it and we confirm at booking.
Can I rent by the week or by the month?
You can, and that is where the price gets better. Contracts of weeks or months and fleet assigned to a project have their own conditions, quoted case by case.
Can I leave Luanda with the vehicle?
Yes, but it is a different contract. The published daily rate covers mobility within Luanda; trips to Benguela, Lubango, Namibe or Huambo are quoted by route, with a vehicle suited to the terrain.
